SOJOURNER

MAP VIEWER · MINECRAFT · JAVA + BEDROCK

I wanted to see my whole world — not a postcard of the terrain, but everything that's actually in it. Nothing did that. So I wrote this.

// why this exists

I wanted to see everything that's in there.

Every map tool draws the ground and goes quiet. Beautiful hills and oceans — and not a word about the chest you forgot, the villager three biomes over, the spawner under your base. The seed tools go the other way: a flawless generated world you don't actually have, nothing you built, nothing alive. I didn't want either. I wanted to open a map and see the living world — what's really on the disk, blocks and builds and mobs and loot and all. Nobody read the save the way I wanted it read, so I read it myself.

// what it actually shows you

The living world, not just its skin.

Open a save and it draws what's there — the real blocks you placed, the biomes and structures from the seed, the ore veins, the caves. And then the part nobody else bothers with:

On Java and Bedrock both. The chest-and-villager depth is the part the fast, pretty renderers never read — and it's the whole reason I built this one.

// why you'd run a binary from a stranger

Be suspicious. Then check.

You should be wary — I'm nobody you've heard of, asking you to run software on your machine. So I won't ask you to trust me. I'll tell you exactly what it does, and you can verify every line of it:

This page keeps the same promise: zero outside requests, no trackers, a few kilobytes. I respect your machine because I'd want mine respected.

// what it won't do

And what it isn't.

It won't hunt for new seeds — it shows you a world you already have. It won't out-render the fast, polished viewers, and I never tried to make it. I didn't build this to win a benchmark; I built it to see everything that's in there. If raw speed is all you're after, the other tools are free and genuinely good — go use them. I mean that.
